ACHIEVE-ITN pairs a programme for excellence in research with international high-quality training in multiple disciplines and multiple sectors. The ESRs will be trained in specific skills for contributing to the distributed vision platform at different levels of the hierarchy: circuit, system, algorithm and application levels. Executing their individual ESR project the students will master the particularities and methodologies of their own field, but also will be exposed to the details of the rest of the components and applications work packages through the interactions planned in the research programme. The training programme is complemented with network-wide activities intended to establish a framework for multilevel optimization of distributed vision systems based on interconnected smart camera nodes for different application scenarios. In addition to the specific skills directly connected to the research programme, the ESRs will be trained also in transferable skills through network-wide activities. The goal is to improve their collaboration, communication and organisation abilities, their creativity and leadership and their social responsibility.
