The group of Micro/Nanometric Circuits and Systems (MINCAS)  carries out activities related to the following research lines:

  • Mixed-Signal Integrated Circuits for Space Applications

Objectives of the group

  • Design of high-performance analog, mixed-signal and radio-frequency (RF) integrated circuits, mainly implemented in nanometer CMOS technologies
  • Systematic design of analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), mainly based on high-performance sigma-delta modulators, integrated in nanometer CMOS technologies
  • Design of analog and RF front-ends for wireless broadband communication systems
  • Design of low-power low-voltage analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits
  • Design techniques to produce analog integrated circuits and systems that are robust against variability and aging effects
  • Systematic design techniques for analog, mixed-signal, RF and heterogeneous circuits and systems
  • Exploitation of variability in microelectronic devices, e.g., for security applications
  • Modeling and design of radiation-tolerant mixed-signal integrated circuits for space applications
  • Design and test of mixed-signal ASICs for optical communication in satellite applications
  • Design of robust electronic circuits
